Baillie Cup Stars!

Last Thursday 26 children from P1-P4 took part in an athletics competition down at Queens Park. I am so proud of each and every one of them for their attitude, determination and team spirit. We came home with lots of medals and Crown as a team came third overall. It really was a great day, competition can be hard for children at this age but everyone stepped up to the mark, did their best and did everyone proud.

I just want to say thank you to all the wonderful parent helpers. We really couldn’t have done it without you. You are all superstars and myself and Mrs McCormick really appreciated the support.

Have a look at the little stars in action and if you haven’t already got a copy some of the little stars made it into the Courier this week!

Trip Tomorrow!

Our trip is tomorrow- yay!

Walking to Eden Court and then to Bellfield and then back to school so wear comfortable shoes- preferably trainers.

School uniform is not needed- yay!

Keep an eye out for the weather- make sure you have clothes suitable for sun/rain.

Pack lunch and snack is needed plus a penny or two for a lolly at the park.

Looking forward to it!

Moving up day seemed to be succesful today- lots of happy faces (but sad from me, my little babies will be moving on).

See you tomorrow!

I have the following children down in cars at the moment-

Reports

Today, everyone took home their reports and I hope their are lots of happy parents tonight. It always makes me a little sad writing them and when you hand them out as you know that the year is coming to and end. Everyone has made so much progress this year and you should all be so proud!

Hope to see many of you at the Summer Fayre tomorrow and I hope that the sun shines for us.

Our pamper hamper and sweetie hampers look amazing and are £1 for a strip of raffle tickets so come and see me tomorrow to buy some.

P2 Summer Trip!

Just a little note- there was a typo on the note that went home and it asked if you could accompany p4 on the trip, this should be P2. I am just aware that there was very little parent helpers come back and just wasn’t sure if it was because of this. If you are able to help, just drop me a little e-mail.

Thank you! 🙂

T-shirts

Just a little reminder that coloured t-shirts need to be in for Friday (with names) on for the show on Wednesday 14th at 9:30am. The theme is Trolls and we would love it if the children could have Troll-like hair   (bright coloured spray, gelled up hair, back-combing bunches/high pony etc) feel free to go as crazy as you like.

P1- purple

P2- yellow

P3- orange

Looking forward to seeing lots of you there- it is a super cute show! The kids are amazing!

Election Day ‘Wacky Races to Dores’

CROWN PRIMARY SCHOOL

Election Day ‘Wacky Races to Dores’

Family cycle, including teachers if free, ‘any way’ to Dores and on any kind of bike.  Choose the high road via Essich hill, or low road and cycle path via Torbreck, or off road on the track between the two, with an option of zigzagging down or climbing up MacBains.  Now there’s a challenge!

On the low path the mileage is 18miles (return), and on the high road with a descent into Dores about 22 miles (return).  We (Crown WOW) have tested this route out in advance (many times) with a large group as a family cycle.  It is a scenic and safe route, with something in it for everybody regardless of age or ability.

Meet at the front entrance of Crown Primary School, just within the grounds, from 09.50am, and we will depart from there at 10am…
