Today in class we did a little check of how we are getting on with our common words. We now each have our own individual bank of words that we should practise at home. If your child does not come home with any words then they have none to practise from the given word list and they will be given other words tomorrow. If there is a number of words to practise then please only practise 4 at a time. Once these are practised and spelt correctly, then move onto another 4. You can practise in all sorts of ways. Write on someones back, write in salt/flour, write in your jotter, write in the air, say the world aloud. A mixture of these would be a good idea. These words will go along side the phonics that we do in class. A check will be done before the February break again of these words in the hope that we can move onto another set. In the mean time individual checks will be done as some may need a new set before then.

Thank you 🙂
