We have been up to lots of different things in P2 over the last few weeks, I can’t believe we are already in week 4 of term 3.
During this time, we have been working on multiplication and the different ways we can show our working, learning times tables, counting in 2s, 5s and 10s forwards and backwards. We have been learning how numbers are made and how we can show them using bundles of straws. The straws are great drums for counting too.
We have been exploring Scotland, what we know and what we would like to know. We have looked at a map of Scotland and located the main towns and cities on a class map. We have looked at some famous Scottish people such as Alexander Graham Bell, John Logie Baird, James Watt and Robert Burns. We have learned lots of facts about them and how their inventions/work have influenced our lives today.
We are learning a Scottish dance and I must say I cannot believe how quickly we have picked it up and how in time we all are. It is looking really good, we just need to add the music.
We have also been working on our fitness in PE. Can you recognise some of the exercises we have been doing?
We have been practising our spelling words also and it is great to hear so many of you have been practising at home. Keep it up everyone.
